In the annual Beyreuth-Scholarship competition organised by Wagnersällskapet in Gothenburg, the first prize was awarded Eugenia Babich and Julia Andersson and Marta Cecilia Saelöen were awarded second prize.

From the press statement:

Julia Andersson is educated at the Opera Colleges in Gothenburg and Stockholm and has studied at the Opera Studio in Bern and Biel, Switzerland. She comes most recently from Malmö Opera, where she played a role in Lars Johan Werle's Väntarna at Operaverkstan. At the competition, she sang Octavian's introduction "Wie du warst" from Strauss's Rosenkavalier and the Second Norn's "Treu beratner Verträge Runen" from Wagner's Götterdämmerung.

The jury's reasoning: "With a free, very beautiful-sounding voice, she gives promise of a fine operatic career where one or the other norn or valkyrie sure will appear."
